We offer 2 different wax options. Silca Secret Wax and Molten Speed Wax. We will offer a limited supply of chains as we get a hold of them. If you are looking for a specific chain and know where to get it, I’d suggest using our wax service!
If you’ve never used a paraffin coated chain, you don’t know what your missing. Not only are they super fast, but they’re also extremely clean and oddly quiet. With a paraffin coated chain, you’ll rarely need to clean your drive train and your gear will last much longer. Our chains are stripped of all factory grease using a three step cleaning process. Then we apply our Turbine Wax that is mixed with friction reducing agents to create the fastest chain available.
The paraffin coating will last most road riders around 600km and mountain bikers around 350km. The dryer the conditions the longer it will last. Even in wet conditions, Turbine Wax will out perform any lube on the market. Which leads me to the next topic…. you don’t use lube with a paraffin chain. You just go ride.
We’ve found the best way to run a paraffin system is to rotate chains. For example, if you ride 1200km (~750mi) a month, you’d be best rotating 3 chains. Use the first chain for weeks 1 & 2, then swap chains for the weeks 3 & 4, and when you get to the third chain, send us the first two chains to get re-waxed.
